Blanca Garcia
LPC, MFT-Associate

Hello! I’m a bilingual Spanish/English therapist who enjoys working with children, teens, and their families. I specialize in supporting young people who are navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and autism. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, and I focus on helping kids and teens build skills, confidence, and a better understanding of themselves.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education, which gave me valuable insight into the challenges many young people face both in school and at home. I have experience working within the public system and supporting families as they navigate academic, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
I’m trained in play therapy, which allows me to meet children at their developmental level and help them express their feelings, process experiences, and learn new ways to cope. I also use practical strategies that support self-acceptance, emotional regulation, and environments that better support neurodiverse youth. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and inclusion.
As a parent of twice-exceptional children (ASD and gifted), I also bring a personal understanding of neurodiversity and the unique strengths and challenges that can come with it. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, learning new things, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where kids and teens feel comfortable being themselves and where families feel heard, understood, and supported.

All human beings have history and said history provides the context in which behavior occurs. Dr. McCluskey also believes that clinical practice should be firmly based on sound behavioral science, and all services provided to patients should be based on cutting-edge behavioral research.
